More Than Bricks and Mortar: A Safe Space for Burton's Community
Our mission
Banter is proudly operated as a registered Community Interest Company (Inclusive Spaces CIC).

How we support our community
From Inclusive discos, to support sessions, we tailor everything we do around our community which is at the heart and soul of everything we do. Whether it's needing a cup of tea and an ear to listen, support navigating challenges and barriers or groups to join to learn skills, combat social exclusion and create community cohesion to remove isolation and support positive mental wellbeing, our mission is to create a safe, inclusive and adaptable space that treats each person with kindness, respect and empathy.
Every membership, donation and fundraiser helps us to make this a reality and empower communities to connect and grow without hidden agendas, statistics or box ticking exercises.
We want to show kindness because its the right thing to do, not because it meets some government marketing campaign or tick box. We want to treat people like real human beings, each with unique lived experiences and challenges we can support them with that can't be put into a box or be treated like a computer statistic or programme code.
